This course will introduce the economic policy goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and study the economic theory that underpins those goals of deep economic transformation and diversification. The course will cover a range of economic theory (including of growth, institutions, innovation, industrial transformation, public finance, cities, sports and culture) in order to provide the tools for students to analyse the policy roadmap and expected economic consequences of the Vision 2030 program. Students will learn how to apply a range of economic theories to the primary public policy shaping the modern Saudi economy.
