Value creation integrates topics from finance, strategy, decision making and leadership. Using a cross functional approach, students develop a value creation mindset and learn that value creation is an important, using corporate objectives and a guiding principle for making a wide range of managerial decisions. The goal is to give students the knowledge, skills, frameworks, and judgment needed to make good strategic, financial, and operating decisions. The course emphasizes the development of practical insights rather than formal theories--to understand the tools and concepts commonly used in organizations. The course incorporates analytical tools covered in other courses and apply value-based management techniques to a broad set of business decisions.
